A good blow-dry begins with your routine. Heat setting, time spent styling and the way you handle your hair all deserve attention. No dryer or technique can promise damage-free styling.
Start gently
Absorb excess water with a towel rather than vigorously rubbing your hair. Allow time for air-drying when practical. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends gentle handling and the lowest heat setting when using a dryer. Read its hair-care guidance.
If you use a heat-protection product, follow its application instructions. Treat it as part of your routine, not permission to use more heat or repeatedly style the same section.
Choose settings deliberately
Start with lower heat and adjust your airflow to the task. Work in manageable sections so you can see what you are doing. Follow your dryer’s instructions for positioning, attachments and safe use, and avoid concentrating heat on one area for an extended period.
A dryer with separate airflow and temperature controls makes those choices easier to manage. The OmniFlex Dryer has five airflow speeds and three temperature settings, plus a Care Mode that alternates warm and cool air.
Match the attachment to the routine
A concentrator directs airflow for controlled styling. A compatible diffuser offers another approach for curls and waves. Use only attachments intended for your dryer and follow the instructions for fitting and removing them.
Finish with care
Once you have achieved your finish, avoid adding heat simply out of habit. Switch off and store your tool as its user guide directs. Regularly check and maintain the filter using the recommended method.
The aim is a routine you can repeat thoughtfully: gentle preparation, considered settings and enough control to work with your hair. Explore Stellar styling education for technique inspiration.
